Symbolic Meaning:
The Dreamcatcher Earrings were inspired by a popular Native American folk art object - a willow hoop, on which is woven a loose net.  Dreamcatchers were hung over children's beds, with the intention of allowing good dreams to slip through the web and into the sleeper while bad dreams were caught in the web to perish at morning light.  As the dream travelled down the Dreamcatcher, the negative energy would get trapped in the web leaving nothing but positive thoughts. The work that is done by the Made by Survivors team and the extreme violence that they deal with, can leave them at times feeling overwhelming and inexpressibly sad.  The girls created these beautiful earrings to remind us all to remain focused on the positive, and to let the bad dreams and experiences of the past remain in the past.  Wear these spectacularly crafted Sterling Silver earrings  to proudly show your support of a great cause!
